When I didn’t find the right intership in Europe, my dad proposed me to go to Merida,
a rug making company based in Boston MA. Immediately I took the opportunity to explore the world while working.
Merida consists of a great team of designers, salespeople and craftsmen who design amazing carpets in all sorts of fibers, styles and colors.
They work together with big designers who transform beautiful houses all over the country.
The tasks I have at Merida are various and very interesting. I need to write blog posts, update social media channels such as Pinterest, set up direct mails, work with Google Analytics and so much more. One perk of having an internship at Merida is that they involve you in many different aspects of the company. For example, I had to go to New York for an event about texile trends in addition to attending different events in Boston to get inspired.
An internship at Merida is perfect if you want to learn more about the culture and communication of an USA based company. Time flies and I discover new things and places every single day. To bad I don’t have a green card to call it home officially :).
